TOUWSRANTEN – Eskom has confirmed they are attending to the problem.

Power restored to: Rosemore, Hansmoeskraal (apart from Blu Whale Resort, 5 farms)
The follow areas are affected with power outages due to the storm and will remain off until trees are cut, roads are cleared and lines are repaired again, at this point no estimated time of repair can be given:
Hoekwil; Bergsig (trees must be cut down); Du Toit Line (Geelhoutboom); Wilderness Heights and East; portion remains off Le Grand ; Thembalethu Zone 5, 6,7, Silvertown and Mdongwe
Please note, we will be able to switch some areas on as soon as the winds settles down.Some repairs might take the full day.

Power restored to: Blackwood Line (Victoria Bay); Herold’s Bay, Airport Line, portion of Hansmoeskraal, portion of Le Grand, Uniondale (ESKOM)
The follow areas are affected with power outages due to the storm and will remain off until trees are cut, roads are cleared and lines are repaired again, at this point no estimated time of repair can be given:
Du Toit Line (Geelhoutboom); Wilderness Heights and East; portion remains off Le Grand, portion Hansmoeskraal; High voltage repairs are needed for Thembalethu as well as low voltage issues in Zone 5, 6,7, Silvertown and Mdongwe. Rosemore, Denver Park low voltages issues
Please note, we will be able to switch some areas on as soon as the winds settles down. Some repairs might take the full day.
OTHER ISSUES DUE TO STORM DAMAGE
George Landfill Site fire continues to smoulder.
Several private structures have either had trees fall on roofs or roofs damaged by wind in Rosedale, Blanco, New Dawn Park and Syferfontein. These have been assessed by our Human Settlements department and gunplast assistance has been given where possible. George Emergency Services and Community Services officials are assisting with the removal of fallen trees.

The follow areas are affectedwith power outages due to the storm and will remain off until trees are cut, roads are cleared and lines are repaired again;
Portion Heroldsbay and surrounding farms / Geelhoutboon, Farmlands farms / Victoria Heights, Blackwood line / Wilderness Heights and Wilderness East / Le Grand / Hansmoeskraal / Areas in Thembalethu
Please note, we will be able to switch some areas on as soon as the winds settles down. Some repairs might take a full day.
