GM Request to participate in Youth Entrepreneurship Programme
Youth day is a commemoration of the contribution of the youth during the struggle for the liberation of South Africa. The theme for the National Youth Day 2022 is “The Year of Charlotte Mannya Maxeke:Growing youth employment for an inclusive and transformed society.”
Development of youth entrepreneurship is a priority as it is an effective vehicle through which poverty alleviation, employment creation and essentially, economic growth can be achieved. The George Municipality recognises and acknowledges that young people are future leaders and a key mechanism through which economic prosperity can be accomplished.
George Municipality believes that enhancing entrepreneurs’ self- efficiency, entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial network will facilitate the growth and development of youth entrepreneurs. To this effect, the George Municipality in collaboration with First National Bank and Seda invites all youth entrepreneurs to join and participate in the Youth Entrepreneurship Programme to learn about opportunities in South Africa and George for young entrepreneurs.
