ESKOM LOADSHEDDING UPDATE – 4 DECEMBER @ 16h15

Loadshedding will be reduced to Stage 3 at 05:00 on Monday morning and to Stage 2 at 05:00 on Tuesday until further notice.

Consumers are reminded to use electricity sparingly especially when power returns after load shedding.  This will reduce the risk of overload tripping on the network. Consumers are requested, where possible to not switch on appliances such as stoves and kettles for at least 30 minutes after load shedding.

Further breakdowns require the implementation of Stage 4 Loadshedding with immediate effect until 05:00 on Monday morning.
This is to conserve the limited diesel stocks and to create space to replenish the dam levels in the pumped storage schemes.
