Public Notice: UPDATE ON REFUSE COLLECTION FOR 24 JUNE

George Municipality regrets that effective service delivery has not been possible today with the very limited resources available due to ongoing strike action. A skeleton and part time staff  have been collecting as far as possible in todays areas.

Alternative arrangements are being put in place to address the backlog from today and for Friday collection areas.

Thursday collection areas (Wilderness Heights, Dormehlsdrift, George South, Le Grand, Bos en Dal, Groeneweidepark, Sinksabrug, Herold, Geelhoutboom, Eselsjacht, Hansmoeskraal, Jonkershoek, Rooirivierrif, Pacaltsdorp, Rosedale and Waboomskraal) are notified that should their black bags remain outside by dark tonight, they are to please take then back in and put out again for collection tomorrow (25 June) .

We apologize for the inconvenience and assure the public the matter is receiving urgent attention.
