ESKOM LOADSHEDDING UPDATE, Friday, 26 January 2024

Due to the sustained performance of the generation fleet and the anticipated lower weekend electricity demand, Stage 1 loadshedding is in force and will continue until 05:00 on Saturday, as previously communicated.

Thereafter, loadshedding will be suspended from 05:00 until 16:00 when Stage 1 loadshedding will resume until 05:00 on Sunday.

This pattern of suspending loadshedding during the day and implementing Stage 1 loadshedding in the evening will be repeated on Sunday.

Eskom will closely monitor the power system and communicate should any significant changes occur. The outlook for the week ahead will be provided on Sunday afternoon.
