YORK STREET ROAD WORKS STILL ONGOING
Rehabilitation of York Street, the section between the Union/Plattner Street and Nelson Mandela Boulevard intersection, will commence on 08 June 2016 with the incoming lane first, and planned completion date 17 June 2016. Running concurrently with this action, the rehabilitation of the outgoing lane will commence on Monday 13 June 2016 and should be completed by the end of June 2016.
From Wednesday, 8 June, till Friday 17 June the following GO GEORGE bus stops will be temporarily closed:
Union A (713), Palgrave A Z(600) and Fichat A (160)
These passengers are requested to either walk towards town and use the Marthinus stop (1021) or catch the City Loop 13R at York A stop (104).
From Monday, 13 June, till the end of June the following GO GEORGE bus stops will be temporarily closed:
Marthinus (1020), Fichat A (161) and Palgrave A (599) – these passengers are requested to either walk towards PW Botha College to use Union A (712), or towards town to use the Market stop (554).
